Memories and identities had long been eradicated or buried in Eastern Anatolia after the disappearance of its Armenian inhabitants; some managed to survive, but only secretly. “The Return” tells one such story of confrontation, remembrance and reconciliation, questioning whether these feelings can even coexist.
